“For art to exist, for any sort of aesthetic activity or perception to exist, a certain physiological precondition is indispensable:              intoxication.”

Beginner Classes

Simple and Straightforward

One Class  |  $10.00 per person

Beginner information and knowledge about your favorite drinks and liquors.  Topics will range from basic history to chemical makeup and ingredients to differences in a large range of liquors and flavor combinations.  We will also go over making simple drinks that anyone can enjoy.

Classes will most likely be categorized by the different base liquors and flavors that go along with them.

Advanced Classes

Complex and Creative

One Class  |  $15.00 per person

In these classes, we'll delve into more advance topics regarding liquors, liqueurs, mixers, techniques, ice shape and quality, muddling, infusions, etc.  The information is plenty and focused, providing you with better knowledge and skill to make your own formidable cocktails.

Classes will again be most likely categorized by the different liquors and flavors that go along with them.  Additionally, bonus advice and techniques will be shared to impress your audience.
*Bringing additional people with you to class results in the overall charge going down.  For example, instead of being $15 per person when you sign a friend up for an advanced class ($30), the total for both of you will be $5 cheaper ($25).

F
or classes, I will happily provide the liquors and other ingredients we will be using to make drinks, as well as the tools you'll need to make your cocktail.  However, if you want to really delve into bartending on your own, I recommend getting your own bartending supplies.  Bring them with you to class so you may improve your technique.

Supplies you'll need:

Jigger
Bar Spoon
Muddler (I recommend the black, cylindrical or wooden muddlers over metallic muddlers with rubber tips)
Personal shaker (Single or 18/28 Shaker if you can)
Hawthorne strainer (if you go with the 18/28 shaker, which I highly recommend)

For advanced classes and cocktails, I'd also recommend trying to get a julep strainer as well as a mixing vessel for dilution.
